I pre treated my fabric by giving it a good press and steam, and good thing I did since it shrunk up a little bit! I laid out my pieces and cut them all out. The collar, collar stand, and back yoke pieces all get cut out twice on the fold. Or you can trace them as full pieces and cut them out once as full pieces.The last thing I had to do before sewing was to interface! I cut just one of my collar and collar stand pieces out of interfacing and fused to the wrong side.
The silk satin fabric is gathered in the front just at the bust so that the tunic falls nicely.
