Silk and linen blends work wonderfully for garment sewing. They have a beautiful texture (with the little slubs in the fabric) and a nice luster. They also have great body (meaning not a lot of drape) which make them perfect for sewing full or pleated skirts and boxy jackets. Like shirtings, though, they are more expensive and difficult to find. Silk and linen blends also bring the risk of seam slippage.
Sesame Street, but a little hard to find for some reason. so what happens is they lump it in with other types of clothing: onesies, sometimes you wake up without firm plans to stay in your pajamas all day. and dusty sunlight beaming through the windows. I sewed up the right side seam so I could try on one leg to test the fit. I had to bring in the side seam another 1/4". I didn’t sew up the left side seam yet because I have to sew in the waistband and then install the zipper.Also from trying on the one leg (and pinning the other side seam), I noticed the crotch seam wasn’t fitting that nice. So now I am in the process of taking it out and doing some adjustments. I’ll show the adjustments that I have made next week along with the finishing sewing steps to these pants.
