I really really love the BurdaStyle site! The patterns are amazing and always fit so well and there are such fashionable designs. I am very inspired by all the members who sew – I love viewing other peoples’ creations, seeing their unique take on garments and I love the fact that BurdaStyle is a community of like-minded people from all over the world.

I would make my mother in law a silk robe and pajamas. She is a hobby seamstress herself, and if I could make something that she would approve of and wear I would feel like I’d have earned the “intermediate” title at last!I enjoy gaining inspiration from my peers and fellow sewers, and I love the input and the free education I get from the wonderful people here.

Linen softens and relaxes over time. It’s comfortable to wear, and it takes color nicely. On the other hand, it frays easily, is prone to seam slippage (when the threads near the seams tend to move, leaving gaps or holes near the seam), and wrinkles badly.
