Once that was sewn in place, I had successfully sewn the cowl/hood to the top! Now all that was left was to set in the sleeves and stitch all the hems.Later on this week I will post how I finished sewing up this top, and then next week I’ll photograph it for the reveal… the question is should I make a matching skirt?Have any of you sewn this pattern before? 4 - Transfer pattern markings to fabricFold the facing pieces in half again and pin together (right side facing). Pin the paper pattern piece in place. Use dressmaker’s carbon paper and tracing wheel to transfer the pattern outlines (seam lines) and all other lines and markings, apart from the grain line, onto all pieces (see carbon paper for exact instructions). On the bands transfer the fold lines to the right side of the fabric by hand-basting along the lines.
