I took a member’s suggestion to make my dress have a round neckline, and I also wanted to add an extra seamline in the back to panel the floral in the bottom of the dress.I tiled the pattern together and only had to do a couple of alterations. I didn’t have to make any fit changes to the pattern since it was a petite sized pattern :) To alter the neckline I had to change the front band piece as well as the front and back dress. I used the zipper stop as a reference, and measured up 1" on both the band and front from the zipper notch. Then I measured the other side of the front band (that attaches to the back)

Strangely enough I thought that would do the trick (there was no room for my bottom of course). When I’d finished laughing I signed straight up for sewing classes. Sewing is more complicated than I thought.
