My favorite part of sewing: planning the project, choosing the fabric, assemble the pieces, see the whole project taking shape and of course wearing it or see it being worn or used. My least favorite part: cutting the fabric, TRANSFER the pattern’s marks and iron, but anyway those things have to be done!
You sew gathers, tucks, and style lines. You are a sewing machine. Then, all you have left to do is to sew the yoke or facing so you can have clean armholes and necklines, but at the same time, the shoulder seams are dying for your attention too. To tackle this monster, there are several tips. However, depending on whether or not there is a center back seam, not all tricks work with all patterns. I have taken it upon myself to demonstrate a way to sew an all-in-one facing (or in this case, yoke)
