I serged the elastic to the leg opening stretching it a little all the way around but I also stretched a little more just around back of the leg opening to cup the bum a little bit. Then once both leg openings had elastic sewn in place, I brought it to my sewing machine and topstitch with a zip zag the seam allowance to the panty to make sure the elastic would lay flat.Here are the finished edges of the panties, they turned out great!
