I love aprons! As a fashion sewing entrepreneur (IndygoJunction.com), aprons have always been a big part of the patterns we offer. As well, as the author of Vintage Notions, aprons appear prominently throughout my book. One of my absolute favorite publications in my collection I discovered during my book research. My Vogue patterns from the early 1950’s fit into a small, single page and can be terse, but they do have illustrations. In the late 60’s (women’s lib time!), you start seeing the introduction of “Learn to Sew” patterns, which were meant to teach you to sew as you made a garment. No previous knowledge necessary!
