Once that was sewn in place, I had successfully sewn the cowl/hood to the top! Now all that was left was to set in the sleeves and stitch all the hems.Later on this week I will post how I finished sewing up this top, and then next week I’ll photograph it for the reveal… the question is should I make a matching skirt?Have any of you sewn this pattern before? Did you sew on the cowl/hood the same or differently?

Other than free patterns, the best thing of this site is the established illustrated how-tos, everyone does a great job explaining a technique they want to share, I want to thank you all! I think other than the creation uploading “bugs” that have been bugging us, what I would like to see is probably more activities such as contests that can engage members to feel involved. (and to see the results of the contests!) Be creative and sew through life!

We have a tutorial on BurdaStyle where you can download our croqui for free while also learning how to create technical flats, which are technical illustrations, showing the details of a garment: seamlines, zippers, buttons, darts, topstitching, etc. .
