Once my binding was serged into place I wrapped the other unsewn binding edge around the serging seam allowance and coverstitched down in place. If you don’t have a domestic coverstitch machine you can also use a zig zag stitch on your regular sewing machine.I finished the hem of my top with a coverstitch as well as the sleeve hems. And that was that, my T-shirt is complete. I sewed this from start to finish in about 1 1/2 hours (including tiling the pattern, cutting, sewing, and finishing).
When I was younger, I never had manual hobby. I was very frustrated because the creative part of me was completely ignored (I’m lawyer, it’s not a very creative and funky job…). So sewing allow me to develop the creative part of me (and have nice, original clothes too !! ) That’s why it’s become my favorite hobby. I’m always thinking of my future creations and dreaming of when I get to sew beautiful fabrics, pattern or creations of other members!
