Insert straight pins ?exactly opposite the seam (“2nd side seam”) and at center front and centre back of hem band. Also mark centre front and centre back on lower edge of top with pins.

Here is my top almost complete!Now it is time for the neckline binding. I started by pinning one binding strip edge to one of the shoulder seams. I serged the binding strip to the neckline slightly stretching the binding as I serged in place to prevent the neckline from rolling out and gaping.
